State Convention

The Iowa Division State Convention in 2013 will be held at the Davenport Chapter. The dates are April 26-28, 2013. There will be an Iowa Division board meeting on Friday April 26 and another on Sunday April 28. Division board meetings are open to members. Additional details will be added when available.

We are looking for a chapter to host our 2014 State Convention. Physical facilities (i.e., a chapterhouse) are not a requirement to host a convention. A large meeting room in a hotel is a fine location!! If you have questions please contact your chapter State Director, National Director, or e-mail the Division Office at iowaikes@qwestoffice.net 

National Convention

National Convention will be held in Fredricksburg, VA July 23-27 2013. We will gather at Fredericksburg Hospitality House and Convention Center. We have the entire hotel for our Convention!! For more details please visit http://www.va-iwla.org/events_2013-07-23.html 

The 2014 site will be Orange County, CA and 2015 will be Pierre, SD. There are criteria that interested chapters must satisfy to be considered for a National Convention site. National Convention sites are selected by the Site Selection Committee during National Convention and voted on by the attending delegates and National Directors.

September 15 IOWA DIVISION 90TH ANNIVERSARY BANQUET  Come celebrate 90 years of League presence and influence in Iowa!! Banquet will be held at the Ames Chapter in Ames. October 7 MARSHALL COUNTY CHAPTER (Marshalltown, IA) Sporting Clay shoot being held at Marshall County chapter. Shoot is being co-sponsored by Iowa River Hospice. Proceeds from shoot will support Iowa River Hospice programs. Registration is 8a-2p. Three courses available. 10 stations, 100 birds is $35. 5 stand, 25 birds is $10. There is also a novelty shoot.
